365 Life Shifts
Moments that Changed Everything
“The feeling is the prayer.” Gregg Braden
This year, I am so excited to be part of something pretty incredible! And it begins this week!
365 Life Shifts is an amazing collection of moments that changed everything and my moment happened 24 years ago on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
For a long, long time, for as long as I can remember, I’ve know that there is a whole other part to our universe that is here, always here but we just don’t see. Why that is, is really up for debate but I wholeheartedly believe we have more insight into this magical realm as kids. After that, our perceptions of the world are formed and act as filters and blinkers to the world we see.
There is a very descriptive line in the Talmud,
“We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are,”
and that illustrates my point exactly, beliefs passed from generation to generation will shape how we perceive EVERYTHING. So, we start to filter stuff out. Our egos tell us that certain things don’t exist, tell us not to be ridiculous about what we ‘think’ we saw and we almost always feel that life is happening ‘to’ us.
Only, it isn’t.
Mostly unconsciously, we are creating our lives all the time. But…it feels like life is happening TO us because our conditioning in the first 6 or 7 years of our life is what makes up the vast majority of our psychology. As a result, this largely dictates how we view the world!
So, how do we change things and begin to CREATE exactly what we want to experience?
We find the MAGIC inside!
There is a part of you that’s infinite, knows everything and is like a microcosm of the whole universe…and beyond! That’s your SUPERPOWER. When you connect with that part of you, a whole magical world opens up to you and you can create exactly the life and experiences you want!
Don’t believe me? Well, when I was in my early 20s, I started connecting with that part of me quite considerably. I reconnected with that Superpower that I had lost as a teenager.
And so…I have a little story to tell and it all begins in the American midwest in March 1993…
